Connect your AI assistant to your business email with MCP
XgenPlus has an MCP server. Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code Copilot and n8n can read, search, draft and, if you allow it, send mail from your own mailbox. It is free on every paid plan.
What is the XgenPlus MCP server?
The XgenPlus MCP server lets an AI assistant work inside your own mailbox through the Model Context Protocol, with 36 tools for mail, contacts, calendar and tasks. You create a separate agent password in webmail, choose each permission, and add the server at https://mcp.xgenplus.com/mcp to your assistant. It is included free on every paid XgenPlus plan with fair-use limits, nothing is switched on until you create the password, and permanent deletion is never possible.
What can an AI assistant do with your business email?
These requests come from our own setup guide. Each works as written once the right permission is on.
- Morning briefing: What needs my attention today? Unread mail, today meetings and pending invitations.
- Inbox triage: Star anything from clients, mark newsletters as read and move vendor mail to my Vendors folder.
- Draft replies: Draft polite replies to the three unanswered client emails. Do not send; I will review them in webmail.
- Find a document: Find last March invoice from Acme and tell me the total.
- Follow-ups: Which emails I sent last week have not had a reply?
- Scheduling: When am I free for an hour on Thursday? Draft an email offering two slots.
How to connect your assistant to XgenPlus mail
Create an agent password
In webmail open Settings, Security, AI Agents (MCP) and create an agent password. It is separate from your mailbox password.
Choose the permissions
Tick only what this assistant needs: search, read, mark and move, drafts, reply, send. Copy the token.
Add the server
Add https://mcp.xgenplus.com/mcp to your assistant with the token in the Authorization header. The Help Center has a guide for each assistant.
Test it
Ask the assistant to call get_mailbox_profile, which needs no permission. Then ask what unread mail you have today.
Which AI assistants work with XgenPlus MCP?
These work today. ChatGPT and the claude.ai web app sign in with OAuth, which we do not support yet.

How is your mailbox protected?
- The agent password is separate from your mailbox password. You can pause or delete it in webmail at any time.
- An assistant can reach only your own mailbox, and it never has admin rights.
- Nothing is deleted for good. A delete moves mail to Trash, and only if you turned that permission on.
- A risky send, such as the first mail to an outside address or an attachment leaving your domain, is saved as a draft for you to check. Mail sent by an assistant carries a signed header.
- We log which tool was used, when and whether it worked. We never log subjects, message bodies or attachments, and the log is kept for 60 days.
- XgenPlus does not send your mail to any AI provider and does not run AI on it. Mail your assistant reads goes to that assistant and its provider under their terms, so check whether they can train on it.
Is the MCP server free?
Yes. MCP is included on every paid XgenPlus plan with no add-on and no charge per call. A fair-use limit on calls per mailbox stops one runaway automation from slowing the mail server for other customers. Normal use stays well inside it.

Can an AI assistant delete or send my email?
