What Rediffmail Pro leaves out
The cheaper plan is not actually cheaper
Rediffmail Pro Basic is ₹270 a year for a 1 GB mailbox. XGEN Starter is ₹252 a year (₹21 a month) for 2 GB, less money for twice the space. Rediffmail Special and Advanced plans reach 10 GB for ₹510 and ₹850 a year; XgenPlus goes further, to 50 GB on Advance Pro and 100 GB on Enterprise, with no published Rediffmail Pro plan above 10 GB.
The plan list stops at storage and branding
The published Rediffmail Pro plans add spam and virus protection, data localisation, custom branding, custom login and DMARC as the tiers go up. None of the three list AI compose, an office suite, chat, video meetings or two-factor authentication. XgenPlus includes AI reply and compose, Xgen Office online, chat, two-factor login and email retention from Starter Pro, and audio and video meetings from Premium.
Leaving feels risky because the mail is there
Every address stays the same. From the Premium plan the XgenPlus team copies each Rediffmail mailbox into XgenPlus before the switch, so the old mail is waiting on day one.

At the same 10 GB, Rediffmail Pro Special costs less than XGEN Premium. The difference at that storage is what Premium adds: AI reply and compose, Xgen Office online, chat, two-factor login and audio and video meetings, none of which are listed on Rediffmail Pro plans. XgenPlus figures are yearly totals at the per-user monthly price; add 18% GST, which a registered business claims back.

From Rediffmail Pro to XgenPlus in one weekend
- Send the domain and the mailbox list. We confirm the MX records currently pointing at Rediff and pick a Saturday.
- On Premium and above we copy each mailbox over IMAP into XgenPlus during the week, with Rediffmail still receiving mail.
- On Saturday evening the MX records change to XgenPlus. On Monday everyone signs in at the same address and finds the old folders.
